Small mobile apps, built by one or two people, each one a single idea you can say in a sentence. Every number on this page was said in public by the builder, or verified by a payment provider, and the source link sits under each one so you can check it yourself.
App icons, screenshots and star ratings on this page are pulled live from the Apple App Store, read 18 September 2026. Revenue figures are dated at each source.
Do push-ups to unlock your apps. Your phone blocks Instagram and TikTok, the camera watches you do the reps, and the apps open when you finish.
$30K a month and 300,000 downloads: Starter Story, 16 January 2026, starterstory.com/Pushscroll. MVP in two weeks and the MediaPipe detail: Superwall, 21 October 2025, superwall.com.
Read this one carefully. One source calls the $30K monthly revenue, the other calls it monthly profit. That is why this page says "$30K a month" and nothing more precise. The founders later said they passed $1 million in total, but that figure comes from a republished thread rather than a first-hand post, so it is not on this page.
A brain that visibly rots the more you scroll. You watch your own brain decay in real time, which turns out to be a much stronger feeling than a number telling you your screen time.
$26K in the first 30 days: Indie Hackers, 24 July 2025, indiehackers.com. The build details, the rejection count and the day-one figure: What a Startup, 22 July 2025, whatastartup.substack.com.
The honest part. The app is simple. The audience was not free. He spent more than a year posting every day before this launch, and that is the part that made the first month look like that.
A habit tracker that looks like a GitHub contribution grid. Every habit is a wall of little coloured tiles, and filling them in is the whole point. The idea is the design.
All figures from his own year in review, 31 December 2025: sebastianroehl.substack.com. The $602,000 is written there as "Total Revenue".
Read Quran to unlock your apps. It is the same lock as Pushscroll and Brainrot, pointed at a completely different reason to open your phone in the morning.
Revenue verified through a RevenueCat API key and read on 18 September 2026 at trustmrr.com/startup/quran-unlock. These numbers update live, so they may have moved since.
Do not read this one as a money story. $13,252 all time is about $654 a month. The interesting number here is 300,000 people using it inside ten months, on an idea nobody was serving.
A focus timer with a cat sitting beside you. You start the timer, a hand-drawn cat appears on the chair and keeps you company until the session ends. That is the entire app.
Figures from his Starter Story interview, published 26 July 2026, written up 29 July 2026 at startupfinder.co. The original video is here. The App Store lists the release date as 27 August 2025, which matches the launch date given in the interview.
Put them next to each other and the same shape shows up every time.
And three of the five are the exact same trick: lock the phone until you do something. The lock is identical. Only the reason changes, and the reason is what people actually pay for.
None of these needed a big team or a big codebase. Two of the five builders say outright that AI wrote most of the code. The code was never the hard part. The idea was.
The rule for this page was simple: if a figure could not be traced to the builder saying it in public, or to a payment provider verifying it, it does not appear. No estimate sites, no guesses.

I've been building things people pay for since I was 10. Online game servers first, then $250K+ earned in tech. Now I build with AI in public, and every free thing from my reels lands on a page like this.
